I gotta tell you, I have a LOT frizzy color treated hair. I recently got a short cut, and using my regular drug store shampoo had to spend hours (literally) trying to achieve a smoothish, straightish look. I got this Dove shampoo when mine ran out, and it is now so easy to get my hair nice and smooth like it looked when I first came from the salon. It's kind of amazing how well it worked. My friend says because it contains sulphates in the ingredients, that it could be a bad thing, but heck, my hair is looking good at the moment! I recommend for anyone out there who has frizzy hair with a mind of its own.

This stuff really does work. It really does. The improvement this product (and its corresponding conditioner) made to my fine, thin, damage prone hair can not be overstated. From the very first use I was astonished by how little hair I lost in the shower, and it continues to work as well now 9 months later. My hair is longer and healthier than it has been in years- it is breaking less, and I can go much longer between haircuts. I'm afraid to say I started to take it for granted, so when I went out of town last weekend I took some sample-sized bottles of another popular shampoo for convenience. On the first day I was shocked by how much hair I lost, both in the shower and while brushing it. I tried to remember, had I snagged it on something? Treated it more roughly than usual? It wasn't until the second shower that I realized, it was the shampoo! As soon as I got home I switched back to the Dove, and voila- instantly less breakage. I am now a FIRM BELIEVER, and Dove has a customer for life.

My hair is long and naturally wavy. For some reason, after I turned 30, it changed. While still has its wave, it's thinned out considerably and my scalp is maddeningly oily. I've tried so many products over the past few years. Suffering from an oily scalp and dry ends with thinning hair is the worst possible combination. I bought everything from Nick Chavez to Jason Thin-to-Thick to a whole line of Aveda that cost almost $200 and it gave me dandruff! (Aveda is now under the sink and brought out for guests.) Nothing was making me happy.I read about Dove Intensive Repair and didn't think it would work, either. Just because it was affordable and easy to buy at any Walmart. lol What a fool I was! I bought this and the conditioner and one month later am AMAZED. My thick, gorgeous mane is back. My oily scalp is tamed and my ends are manageable now. I get so many comments at work and the salon about how luscious and healthy my hair looks. Women ask if I use Wen or Redken. Pfft. No and thank God I don't have to shell out that kind of money anymore! Dove has a customer for life!
