I have always had somewhat fine, limp hair that tends to become oily fast. I don't shampoo every day, more like every other day; but with most shampoos, I am tempted to shampoo daily to keep the oil from making my hair look even limper than it already does freshly shampooed. I tried this shampoo several years ago; bought from my local natural food store. I like the fact that it is very concentrated, it has a lot of lavender scent which might put some people off, but I like it. This scent doesn't last when your hair is dry though, so it isn't horrible if you aren't fond of lavender scent. I do find my hair has more body, and waviness, especially when it's wet, towel dried; if I spray a setting lotion on it, or even hair spray, the wavy look will stay longer when it's dried. It does a good job of removing the oil that I have always felt left on my scalp after shampooing with other brands. This left over oil on my scalp seems to make my hair get oily faster so removing it is my usual goal. I don't know how it does with colored hair, I have only used it when it's been awhile since I have colored it. I don't know how well it works with permed hair either, I have never used it after having a perm. But for virgin hair it works great. It can't hurt to try it, the price is good on Amazon, the best I've seen so far. I hope this helps with your decision; if you have hair similar to mine, you may like it.

I am a lavender junkie; I love this shampoo. I get a whiff of my hair all day long and the fragrance is wonderful. Very pleased with this product.

This shampoo cured my years of chronic dandruff problems in a couple weeks. Apparently I, like many people, are sensitive to the foaming agent sodium laurel sulfate (SLS) used in the vast majority of shampoos. It can cause a dry, red, itchy flakey condition in these folks (usually they then spend lots of money on anti-dandruff shampoos that also contain SLS). Well this shampoo does not contain any SLS yet lathers just as well as any other. Quality product with a very nice lavender scent - highly recommended!
