What is wrong with Mizani? Protein DOES NOT moisturize hair! I've been looking for a Neutralizing Chelating shampoo because No-Lye relaxers should be followed with a chelating (clarifying) shampoo to prevent mineral build up (which causes dryness and breakage). Mizani doesn't realize that excess protein causes THE SAME dryness and breakage. Their neutralizers tend to have WAY too much harsh protein. Protein is needed for damage repair ONLY. I've lost a lot of hair in the past to excess protein conditioning. Most curly/kinky hair needs LOTS and LOTS of moisture (water sealed in with oil) and a moderate amount of protein only immediately after a damaging process or when moisture alone isn't keeping hair healthy. Mizani, your shampoos and conditioners need more moisture and less or gentler (silk?) protein.
