I've been using this shampoo as well as the smooth as silk conditioner and I love it! I have thick, coarse hair that always seems dry after I shampoo, but Giovanni makes my hair feel smooth and moisturized. And I love that its organic:)

I bought this shampoo and the matching conditioner after reading rave reviews on several hair forums and youtube.I have 3a-3b hair dyed, and ends still have some relaxer in it. My hair is very dry and brittle form heat /chemical damage. Also very porous.I found that the two combined left my hair extremely soft, cuticles were not as raised (with a ACV rinse) and it gave me the extra moisture I need. For those complaining that it left their hair dry/hard it has a lot of protein in it and maybe your hair can't take a lot of protein. I've read that for some alot of protein makes hair dry and brittle.My hair is like a sponge. Loves Protein, Loves Moisture so anything high in protein is up my ally. These products are definitely part of my hair arsenal.

I bought this shampoo hoping that it would "soothe" my dry, damaged hair which is what it claimed to do. My hair is dry and slightly damaged from styling and coloring, and I was really expecting some results from this product. As far as helping the damage, I really didn't notice a difference. I used the entire bottle over the course of several weeks just to give it a fair shot. As far as cleansing goes, it just wasn't clarifying enough for me. After I rinsed it out, my hair felt like it had a bit of residue and didn't feel all that clean. It almost seemed more tangled and dry after using this product too. I wish I had felt more of the "deep moisture" that the name implies.
