I purchased two bottles of this shampoo because an Ayurvedic consultant had recommended adding Gardenia scent to a moisturizing body oil, and I thought it would be nice to complement that with a Gardenia scented shampoo. This was one of the first products at the top of the list from a Web search for Gardenia shampoo. I liked the fact that the product is organic and does not use animals in testing. I find the floral scent of the Alba Botanica Gardenia shampoo to be very pleasing. Some men might find the scent to feminine, but I am secure enough in my masculinity to smell like flowers, so I like the aroma a lot. The shampoo is very gentle, not like some products that really strip your hair harshly. I use it six days a week and I do feel like there is some build-up over this time. Also, by the end of the day my hair feels a little greasy. Therefore I use a stronger shampoo once a week to scrub my hair and scalp and remove build-up. I am glad I got two bottles of the product (to save on shipping cost, which is considerable). I may try the next product that came up in my Web search eventually, just to compare.

This product is amazing for your hair especially it you want to wear it curly. My only fault with it is that it doesn't remove all of the build up from your scalp for flat ironing, but besides that it smells really good and the fragrance lasts in your hair until it rubs off onto your scarf on until you wash it, and when you flat iron your hair after using this it doesn't leave a bad smell it still smells like the shampoo!!![...]
