A friend mentioned this shampoo as a great volume builder. For those interested, my hair is extremmmmmmmmmmmmmely fine, frail and thin. I purchased this and this company's conditioner "Moist". I was hesitant about the shampoo on fist scent, thinking it was "detergent smelling" (yes I buy into the hype of 'if it smells good it is good' too often). It does not smell bad at all - just does not stand out as heavenly, but smells nice and clean. So assuming it was commercial grade I placed a large amount in my palm. The first thing I noticed is the it was actually quite dense in power and I over-shampooed! It takes very little of this product to actually clean my hair which gives the price automatic validity.Now the results.. After using it a week now, my hair feels soft, silky, but not TOO SOFT (for those with really fine hair, you KNOW what I mean by that, and it's a GOOD thing). I like this product a lot and will continue buying it. No shampoo is a miracle worker, particularly if your hair is simply just THIN and extremely fine, like mine. But my hair does feel fuller, healthier and looks better. The volume is not caused by "frizz" like other volume shampoos do! I love this product. For me the best I have tried in a long time.
