The little plastic end piece really stays stuck to the soap! It's still on after a camping trip and several uses back home. I just keep it sitting on that end in the shower (without the case) and pop it into the case to go. The container is a little hard to drop the wet bar into (the lid wants to close and you need two hands to hold it open) and it's a bit bulkier than the traditional plastic soap case, but it's about as small as it can get and do the job of letting the bar dry out (which it doesn't do in a standard soap case.) It's how I'll travel with this shampoo from now on. Re the shampoo, it's the best I've used. I've been through all the salon lines from my hairdresser and my hair still seems healthiest with this bar. I love not using bottles anymore. If you want more scent, just use a little good smelling conditioner.

The shampoo soap works very well for me, see its reviews for how it works. Here I'll talk about the travel container. I do like the simple plastic "bar base"; it works really well to keep the bar from getting dinged up. The plastic case is another story though. It lets the soap dry between uses which does extend the life of the product. Unfortunately the case also traps water inside so that when it's packed away in your bag it will drop soapy, slimy water all over. Seems to me like they could have combined the two large air holes with a design that would let the case completely drain out when hung by its hook. I'd recommend buying the soap by itself and trying a cheap travel container from a local store.

This is my first experience with a shampoo bar, and I'm very impressed! My hair is normally dry, coarse, and frizzy, and this shampoo has really helped to soften and control it. It's easy to use...just a few swipes on the top and sides, and then it lathers up nicely. I did feel like a had some residue in my hair after a few weeks of use, so I tried an apple cider vinegar rinse, as suggested by several other reviewers. That did the trick. This will be a great shampoo for travel (no leaks, and looks like it will last for several months). Give it a try if you are interested in cutting back on artificial beauty products, and don't like to travel with a lot of liquids.
