This shampoo was great -- it gave my hair a very clean and healthy feeling, and left it smelling great. I'd definitely use this shampoo again, and I'd recommend it to friends and family. If you're looking for a reasonably-priced, top-quality shampoo, Herbal Essences is for you.

I love Herbal Essences shampoo. In fact, that's the brand I normally use. I've tried several of their products, and I like the scents. This one smelled very fresh. It produced lots of lather and I always felt that my hair was clean -- and a little bit of shampoo goes a long way. It contains natural ingredients like Chamomile and Passionflower, the bottle is 25% recycled, and the shampoo has no animal by-products, nor is it tested on animals. Even the herbs used are grown under organic conditions without pesticides. It just made me feel good reading all this stuff on the label.

Yes, it smells great. I love the scent. However, I have used a lot of different shampoos and my hair looks better when I use Pantene or Frieda shampoos. I found that even the moisturizing formula of herbal essence was rather drying to my thick hair. Generally the more lather you get with a shampoo the more drying it is to your hair and that is what i found with this product. This brand keeps coming out with new formulas such as for colored hair or volumizing and I keep trying them because I love the scent and hope this one will be better but i have finally given up on Herbal Essence. They need to focus more on how improving their product's perfomance and less on creating new scents. That said, there are worse shampoos out there. White Rain is a good example.
