I swim every day for at least an hour. I have grey hair. After daily exposure to the sun and chlorine, my hair was not responding to conventional shampoos. It felt lifeless, dry and was unmanageable. My hair has always been very easy to care for as it is naturally curly and I wear it short. So this was a new problem for me. I got online and did some research and found this shampoo. There were attestations by current customers who swim like I do about how this turned their hair around after similar exposure to chlorine and sun. I bought it and lo and behold, my hair snapped right back to being shiny, soft, easy to manage and control. I do not use the conditioner. The shampoo fixes the problem perfectly so I didn't need a separate swim conditioner (matching bottle). However, if you have long hair, the conditioner might be worthwhile.
