I've been sulfate free for two years and am always on the look out for good products, especially since my most recent purchase is running out and I want to try something new.So if you, like me, are checking out this product as a sulfate-free product for your hair, then I suggest that you look elsewhere because this product is misleading. If you eyeball the ingredients list in the product information above, you'll see that this shampoo contains sodium myreth, which is a kissing cousin of sodium laurel sulfate. According to Wikipedia: "Sodium myreth sulfate is very similar to sodium laureth sulfate; the only difference is two more carbons in the fatty alcohol portion of the hydrophobic tail. It is manufactured by ethoxylation (hence the "eth" in "myreth") of myristyl alcohol. Subsequently, the terminal OH group is converted to the sulfate by treatment with chlorosulfuric acid."Also according to Wikipedia: "Like other ethoxylates, sodium myreth sulfate may become contaminated with 1,4-dioxane during production, which is considered to be a Group 2B suspect carcinogen by the IARC."'Nuff said.

I found this product at a little tiny store. I bought it figuring what the heck. My hair is damaged and a little bit fried. this product gave me shine, it calmed most of my frizzies, and a wonderful subtle scent to go with it. i love this product...the only down side is its a little bit hard to find.
