This shampoo is great to treat "scalp rosacea". It is very mild, cleans well, smells nice, is not really expensive, only a tiny bit is needed each shampoo and it works fassssssssssssssssssssst!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to clear up the scalp acne. It is a little drying, on the hair. Myself, I would rather the dry hair than all the problems that follow scalp rosacea.My scalp and the ensuing inflammation was reduced by 80% after the 1st treatment. The itchiness is gone, now and I keep using DHS shampoo with zinc, because it really helps so much more than any other product I have tried, before. Scalp Rosacea, is pretty awful, too icky to be described here, but anyone who has scalp acne, should consider this shampoo (if they have no issues with zinc on their skin).My Dermatologist recommended this. I had originally thought that I had some type of scalp infestation, but the Dr. said no it is scalp rosacea.I have extremely sensitive skin and I am ok with this, this is NOT a shampoo for babies or young children, at all. Strictly for adults, I am told!The inflammation, sclp oiliness and itching has gone down so much for me, that I now use DHS only 1 - 3x's per week, instead of every day. I think that people should discuss with their Dermatologist, before using. But, it really was very helpful for me.

I have Psoriasis and extremely sensitive skin. My dermatologist recommended this Zinc and the Clear shampoo. (I also tried the conditioning rinse.) They are all nice. The DHS products that I have used all seem to be very conscious of sensitivities and easily irritated skin. I have been using them for a while now and I haven't had any problems. The Zinc shampoo is especially nice when I have "bad scalp days" If my scalp is already irritated I can use the zinc and it seems to calm it. I love that.· Bottom line: This is a nice shampoo if you have sensitive skin and easily irritated scalp issues. I totally recommend it.
