I'm so happy to find this product again! I used it for years with great results, but haven't seen it since I moved away from the town where it was manufactured. The usual dandruff/itching shampoos (Head & Shoulders, Selsen, etc) haven't worked for me. This is the only one. Warning, the smell isn't pleasant. One of the main ingredients is TAR, but the scent seems to wash out. I've always used a scented conditioner, so I'm not positive. However, I don't care if what it smells like! It works that well.

For many years my husband suffers from very dry, itchy, flaky scalp,in general skin allergies and there was nothing in the market, that would help him control the hair flakes. I found in NYC the Glovers ointment and it worked great, but after a while the smell got to me, it wasn't bad. I just didn't like the smell. But then I found the shampoo...ITS THE BEST IN THE MARKET! For psoriasis nothing beats it. Since I moved to FL and the water here is hard on my hair and scalp,I also have now dry, flaky scalp. But I ordered my Medicated Glovers Shampoo and it's gone!NO more flakes...I need to order more shampoo...wish it came in larger size bottles. We have tried all that there is out in the stores for dry flaky scalp and this is "THE BEST" and nothing beats it!!!

I purchased this shampoo at a local beauty supply, and it works " great"! Only drawback is, it only comes in 4oz. Other than that, no complaints.
