I swim daily for about an hour. This shampoo seems good at removing chlorine, my hair is still in great condition. However, It does not detangle. My hair is, at the longest, just above my shoulders, and layered around my face. If I want to blow dry after swimming, I need to use a separate conditioner for detangling. This is not the case when I occasionally use Pert. But for removing the chlorine, I think its doing the job.UPDATE: After using a couple of bottles of this, I went back to UltraSwim UltraSwim Chlorine Removal Shampoo, 7 fl oz (207 ml)since it's at my local Safeway, and the difference is noticeable. After using the UltraSwim, I feel as if there is some sort of residue left on my hair. I will be going back to Summer solutions.

I swim about 4 times a week. I bought this shampoo, because I could still smell the chlorine in my hair after using my regular shampoo. After the first use, I did not smell a trace of chlorine and thought what a great product! As for the conditioning part of this product, I'm using an additional conditioning product after shampooing. I think if I had shorter hair, Summer Solutions One Step Shampoo would be a perfect shampoo and conditioner. But my hair is very long and needs more conditioning. All in all, it is a great product.

I swim frequently and found that normal shampoo did not really clean my hair properly after a swim. If I ever missed a swim (and consequently hair wash) my hair became greasy after a day. This shampoo has completely solved this problem and removes the chlorine from my hair really well. However, I think you definitely need to use a separate conditioner as it doesn't detangle at all. That's not really a problem though- overall, I highly recommend it for regular swimmers.
