Borghese Shampoo Purificante Cleansing Treatment for Hair and Scalp 250ml/8.4ozI used to use this years ago when Higbee's sold it. (The container was much prettier back then, it had little floating flowers and herbs in it)When Dillard's bought Higbee's, they didn't carry this line anymore. I was so sad because I had tried a few products from this line and really loved them.Well, I found it again online after all these and bought it.Since a lot of formulations have changed over the years, I was hoping this wouldn't be one of them. Except for the container, it hasn't changed at all.It still brightens, cleanses and really, really smells wonderful. It's the only shampoo I have tried that actually keeps my hair clean longer than the tons of others I have tried. (I use this all summer, mosquitos must hate the smell, no more bites - I don't know why tho)I can use this once a week or so and still use my regular specialty shampoo (mostly right after it's color-treated) if needed. It seems to make it work better.I just wish they had that beautiful glass decanter it used to come in.(should have checked around the holidays when they have the gift sets or special editions)Maybe I will just have to go to Italy....good excuse as any, right?

I love Borghese Shampoo. I've been using it for over ten years now and I continue to buy it. I am the kind of person who has frizzy, thick and unmanageable hair. This shampoo helps tame it and keeps it looking clean much longer than most shampoos. I'm the kind of person who likes to use more than one shampoo because I think that tending to my hair is fun. I also recommend Ahava Mineral Shampoo, 8.5oz and REDKEN by Redken: SMOOTH DOWN SHAMPOO FOR DRY AND UNRULY HAIR 33 OZ. I alternate with these three and am very happy with the results.

This is my in between shampoo. You can use it every shampoo but I like to switch back and forth with my other shampoo and use this as a weekly deep cleanser. It smells wonderful and it can be drying so you will need to condition. It leaves my hair shiny and smelling great. Very nice product.
