Great product to use for pets who're not fans of baths or need a little scent booster between baths. Our two cats don't seem to mind it, both purring during a few minutes of a "foam bath". Our dog seems to prefer it over her monthly bath. Easy to use and apply, no gross strong scent and quick to dry. Obviously avoid the area around the eyes and ears. Small amount of foam should be enough, lather and massage into fur until dry.

I am so glad I bought this. I actually bought it because I'm transitioning to a CRUELTY-FREE lifestyle, eliminating products that have been tested on animals. That was selling point #1. But this shampoo is amazing! I take my pitbull to the park a lot and she hates baths, but this shampoo comes out as a foam and you just rub it in and brush or wipe it off. I don't know how it gets her clean, but it does! And it's so gentle and EASY TO USE that, even when I'm giving my dog a full tub bath, I still use this product on her head/face to avoid getting water in her eyes/ears. It has MADE MY LIFE SO MUCH EASIER. My dog gets filthy 3x a week, but tub baths hurt my back, and it's not good for a dog's skin to bathe them that often. (This is why I also bought the JP conditioning spray.) Today, my cat got really smelly and I finally used it on that little stinker too and "wallah," instantly tolerable cat. He didn't even fuss! It was then that I decided I must get on here and review the products from this line. I also LOVE THE SMELL - a nice cherry almond scent (same as the John Paul oatmeal dog shampoo & conditioning sprays - which I also use and love.) I was using bargain brand shampoo before this one because I'm a student on a budget, but this product was worth the money to me, and I will be buying again.

I have always enjoyed this brand of human hair products so I was thrilled to find this product for my new puppy. She loves it and it removes the "dog smell" without a bath. This is Winter and not a great time to bathe a puppy anyway. My pup loves this product licking it when I put it on her. I try to only let her have one lick though!
