This product has been the best to remove build-up that I have used so far. I have awful hair that straightens out in an hour after I set and comb out, if I don't use a LOT of hairspray. Then after a while, the hairspray build-up dulls and hides my shiny hair underneath, my hair starts to look very dry and fly away on the ends. To remove all of that I use this product, Alterna LIFE Clarifying Shampoo, twice a month and follow up with a great conditioner. (I use Phyto Organics Nectaress, which is a light conditioner that does not weigh down my hair). It works well for me.
