After dealing with hard water in my dorm for almost a year and a half, it finally occurred to me that maybe I should try something. I had heard about this shampoo before so I bought it on a whim...and i'm so glad I did because it works AMAZING. Two washes rinsed out months of hard water build-up and my hair went from dull, unmanageable, and sticky-feeling to soft, shiny, and bouncy after one shower. I HIGHLY recommend this product. :)

Like another reviewer I've been suffering from what must certainly be the hardest water in the nation at my dorm. Coming from the deep south where our water is soft and cuddly, my hair revolted and was a nasty MESS my whole first year. I seriously had to wear it up every day because of the huge spot of nasty on the back of my head. It wasn't visibly gross but definitely disgusting feeling to me. I looked around for a solution and found this product.The first couple days I used it, my hair was noticeably less built up with water junk... but greeeaaasy. Man. This could be because I have straight hair; I didn't see any obvious notes about not buying this for straight hair but I don't know.However! The problem was solved by simply using my regular shampoo (drama clean herbal essences), rinsing that out and then just working about a teaspoon amount into the back of my hair where the biggest buildup problem was and just following product instructions. Now my hair is not completely as great as when I'm home but it is IMMENSELY better than how it was.This product definitely works as advertised for removing hard water buildup, but you may need to work out your own regimen to get the most out of it.

our New Mexico city water hardness is 35, normal is 15.yes it does work, comes with a booklet on proper useage and why, products and how to style your hair "rake and shake" method > it is exspensive but can be cut with a tiny bit of water and still work/produce desired effects...the web site is great, easely understood info, the why of hair care methods and videos on styling and problem solving, the products, search engine for locations, etc...
